QOTW:  What is one positive thing you can find in your TTC journey?  Now that you got that out of the way, feel free to
vent like mad over all the things about TTC that make you crazy.  How is your DH handling the process?

Congrats to NowDNAtoo, our newest member of the success stories list.  Wishing you a fabulous pregnancy!

Many many congrats to Indianasunshine who delivered her precious son recently!  We miss your presence here!

  • First off...Have2run, thanks for taking care of the weekly update.  We appreciate all you do.

QOTW - All things considered, I've lived a very fortunate life.  Our TTC struggles have probably been the first really trying situation I've been through in my life.  Fortunately, going through it has enabled me to become less judgemental of others and more empathetic to those around me.  For me it's been a somewhat life changing event.

DH is happy to give TTC his best try every month Wink

  • Today's status - positive OPK - and DH and I are both on a day off from work!  Guess what we'll be doing?Embarrassed

Two positives come from the TTC journey for me: 1) it has brought some of the most heartfelt conversations with DH.  In a sense the struggle has brought us closer and completely honest with each other. 2) I REALLY know a lot about my female parts now!  I would have never read TCOYF or come here seeking advice and support but I do feel very knowledgeable which can only be a good thing.

  • Update: ER tomorrow.

QOTW: I have actually found quite a few positive things about this journey. Don't get me wrong as there are a lot of really bad ones too, but here are the good ones:  (1) closer to DH, (2) empathy for others in this situation, (3) learned a ton about my body and female parts, (4) made new friends on the bump!

  • QOTW:  What is one positive thing you can find in your TTC journey? Nothing at all.  Seriously.  oh wait, I've met you all.  Now that you got that out of the way, feel free to
vent like mad over all the things about TTC that make you crazy. This whole process makes me crazy.   How is your DH handling the process? He just can't comprehend why we can't conceive on our own.  Three previous times we have-no problems.  This whole IUI month is going to be interesting to see how he does.

  • QOTW: Positives: I have gotten to know myself and my hubs a lot better through this process. And while I know this seems contradictory, I have both realized just how much I want a child, and also that as long as I have DH, I will still (continue to) have a happy life  if that doesn't happen.

What makes me crazy: You girls already know!

How's DH:  Overall, he's really fine. He has a real "what will be will be" attitude about it. The only thing that's hard for him is seeing me get upset upon occassion.

Update:  Nearing the end of the 2ww - although since my cycle has been crazy since the m/c...who knows what's going on. AF was FIVE days late last month (I POAS - nada). If she doesn't show by the 22nd, the RE wants to take a looksie at what's happening. If she does show, he'll be testing my FSH again and deciding whether or not he's willing to do IUI. The last time I was waiting for AF to do IUI, I got pg. I'd take that again! With a different end result, tho, please. :)

  • Please add me to the list

Kristiep1971 age: 38 Location: Central Jersey

    TTC since: May 2009

The one positive thing I have gained from my expereince so far is that I have become so much closer to my mom. I couldn't imagine her not being here to support me through this.

I can vent for days, just not worth it to be negaative....trying to change my thinking to be psoitive...

DH is handling things as well as he could.

  • We're hoping the RE will call today and let us know the results of DH's SA from Friday. AF should arrive around Friday.

QOTW:OTW:  What is one positive thing you can find in your TTC journey? I know so much more about my body and all that happens in order to get pregnant. I can appreciate what a miracle it is. Now that you got that out of the way, feel free to vent like mad over all the things about TTC that make you crazy. The frustration over not getting pregnant can be very overwhelming at times. How is your DH handling the process? He feels helpless when I cry over things. He wants to fix it immediately, and has learned (somewhat) that he just can't fix this for us. He is very curious to know his SA results this time. He never expected there to be any problems, so it has been an education for him. I wouldn't want to do this with anyone else.

  • QOTW:

What is one positive thing you can find in your TTC journey?

The most positive is when I was TTC my DD.  I was almost 37, DH was 40 and I got PG the first month we TTC.  My DD arrived 37.5 weeks later:)

Now that you got that out of the way, feel free to vent like mad over all the things about TTC that make you crazy.

I try not to get too mad since I know I'm so lucky to already have a DD:)

How is your DH handling the process?

My DH is great.  He was ready for TTC#2 since the day my DD was born.  I took a little convincing and feel bad maybe I waited a little too long before TTC#2.

    What's happening now?

I'm in the 2 week waiting period.  I test on my DH's birthday, Jan. 27th.  As of today I feel I have all the PG symptoms.  Sore BB's, frequent pee, slight nausea.  I feel the way I do when PG, so that's a good thing.  I just hope the baby aspirin and progesterone do the trick!

  • My ute: 5 or 6 dpo today. We shall see.

QOTW: I guess it would be the education I got on what goes on down there, and being able to share that with others. MH is extremely optimistic (Pollyanna like) about everything, despite the fact that MFI is hard to hear when you are 32 (he's 32). He's a star with all of this.

  • I'm currently waiting for a call back from the NP so I can tell them I'm leaning towards another IUI before IVF #3

QOTW:  What is one positive thing you can find in your TTC journey?  DH and I are much stronger than we thought and can handle just about any crap thrown in our general direction.  Now that you got that out of the way, feel free to vent like mad over all the things about TTC that make you crazy. Knocked up crack ho's, who can't even pronounce prenatal care.  How is your DH handling the process? Like a champ.

  • QOTW - The bright spot in the TTC journey is that my husband and I are still doing awesome and sex has never felt like a chore to us.

TTC- well ladies, tentatively announcing a BFP right now.  I POAS on 1/16/10 at 12 DPO and EDD 9/27
