I feel like an idiot...you're supposed to time them from the start of one to the start of the next, right? But if one stops and then there is a minute or two before the next one starts, you have to account for the gap, right? That's how you know how far apart they are?
I'm sure it's not supposed to be this complicated...

beginning to next beginning is how far apart they are
to time how long they last, you need to go from beginning of the contraction to the end
the easiest way to do this though is with the website mentioned, the one on the bump, or an iphone app
Your timing 2 things.
1) The amount of time from the start of one contraction until the beginning of the next. That is the frequency.
2) How long each one lasts.
The bump's contraction timer actually is pretty good.

Yeah, he does....too bad he's at work. LOL.
They're coming more often now and are stronger (on top of cramping and lower back pain) so I want to time them. I'm curious to see how close they'll get and how long they will go on!
Exciting! I hope this is it (although jkylie will be very jealous) keep us posted!
Thanks! I'm still not getting my hopes up, but I figured if they're not going to go away I should at least time them
I would and you should walk back and forth and jump up and down LOL
I am currently bouncing on my yoga ball. And earlier I went and walked around Target for an hour.
I wanted to start evening primrose oil tonight but DH vetoed it.
