1. The best part for me is watching her learn new things. I loved watching her figure out how to crawl, turn pages in books, say her first words with meaning. I'm so excited for all her upcoming milestones. Oh, and when she smiles....I melt!

3. DH and I are high school sweethearts.
4. We named her Sophia because we loved the name Sophie and we loved the meaning of the name = wisdom. I pray pray pray that we raise her well to make good, wise decisions for herself.
1. Watching them grow and change each day. They never fail to amaze me
2. Depends. Sometimes vanilla, sometimes strawberry, sometimes chocolate peanut butter

4. Ethan O'Neil: I knew that would be his middle name, after my grandfather. I couldn't find a boy name I liked, so I told DH to pick it. It goes nicely and suits him. Arabella Grace: I had planned on naming my first daughter the name I ended up giving my second daughter. I just didn't feel it fit. I loved the meaning of Arabella (answer to a prayer...I had a hard pregnancy with her). Maile Joy: Joy is my grandma's name. Maile is the name of a character from an Elvis movie I watched with my grandma as a child. I always said I'd name my daughter that.
I wish I had named Arabella Stella. I feel very bad that she wasn't named for someone. Stella was my great-grandmother's name. I always was sad as a child that I wasn't named after anyone like my brother and sister, and hate that I did that to her. I wish she had a special name, too.

3. Blind date - my sister was going on a date with his roommate and she didn't want to go alone. She made me go, and the guy made his roommate go. We hit it off immediately.
4. We both just liked it. He was Kaden while I was pregnant up until about a month before he was born as I was making announcements. I started to dislike the name while I was pregnant because a nurse kept calling him Kaden and it drove me nuts. Then DH saw it spelled out, and he was like, "I don't like that." I was like, "THANK GOD!" lol I still like that name, I just didn't feel like it was the right name for DS. We both loved Gavin, so we went with that.
1. What's the best part of being a mom (or what do you look forward to the most if you're pg)? just being w/him.. i've never had anything make me so happy

3. How did you meet your DH/SO? in 9th grade, and have been together for 11 years now, married for 3.
4. Why did you choose the name you did for your LO? well noah was the first name we both agreed on. it was strong and masculine (plus it didn't hurt that the notebook is my favorite movie, corny i know) and then james as his middle after dh's grandpa who is such a blessing in our life. plus it's also dh's middle name.
1. I love watching him grow and develop more every day- he's always doing new things and does it with such excitement. And he's got such unconditional love- when i come home from work tired and exhausted, he's waiting to see me and jumps up and down and laughs!

3. DH and I met freshman year of college- we had a few mutual friends. We dated for a couple months, but then he was my best friend for the rest of college, and we started getting back together my first year of med school.
4. We had a really hard time with a boy name . I "knew" he was a girl, and we had already picked our girl name (Kennedy) so we didn't even talk about it till after my ultrasound when we were shocked to find out he was a boy! We called him Killian my whole pregnancy as a joke, but then finally narrowed down names we liked in the last couple of months. Connor was the only one we could agree on. It fits him perfectly.
1. What's the best part of being a mom (or what do you look forward to the most if you're pg)? Watching them grow and seeing their personalities come through. Everyday is a new adventure (I have an eleven year old too)

4. Why did you choose the name you did for your LO? I loved the name Isaiah and then DH and I agreed that we loved the name Trevor. So we used Trevor as his first and Isaiah as his middle
1. Many things, but most of all helping to build a person of character and watching her become this amazing individual.

4. Josephine was named after Jo from "Little Women" a favourite book of mine since 10. I married a Joseph however and really grappled with whether or not I'd name her that. I hate doing the jr. thing. But she was born and I wanted her to be Jo. And she is! Very much a Jo.
1. Watching him do new things every day and turn into this amazing little person. The hugs and sloppy kisses are pretty awesome too ;-)
2. Chocolate with chocolate stuff in it - I have a slight addiction!
3. We worked in the same restaurant when I was in college.
4. We wanted something Irish or Scottish and something that wasn't common in the US at least. Callum was the winner (even though it's very popular in Scotland and England). His middle name is my last name; I kept my maiden and wanted to include that in my children's names but didn't want to hyphenate them.

1. I like seeing her new stuff every day. She's at the point where she changes so quickly that it seems like she's picked up some new, cute thing every day and is so excited to show it off.

1. i think the best part is feeling this incredible love for someone...not that i didn't expect it, but it's just the warmest/fuzziest feeling ever and i love it.

3. through a mutual friend/one of DH's exes...during my first year of med school and his second (albeit at different med schools!)
4. we had a HARD time agreeing on a name. honestly we started talking about names way too late b/c hubs thought it would jinx things--dumb! we had narrowed it down to a number one choice of finley with adelle and greta as far seconds, but when she was born i didn't think she looked like a finley. eventually (the day AFTER she was born) hubs came around to adelle. i love how beautiful and old-fashioned the name is!

4. I always said if I had a girl I would name her Annie after my Grandma. I wanted a name though that was a little more "formal" that she could use as an adult if Annie was too little girl-ish for her. I found Anara in a book and fell in love. When we knew she was a girl I said "Anara" and my wife said "Grace" and that was it.

1. I love watching her grow and learn. DD is very inquisitive and I'm constantly amazed at what she picks up. Also, cuddling. DD loves cuddling and I love it, too. :P

3. College. DH got one of his friends to ask me to join them in one of the common rooms between classes. We started hanging out and then dating.
4. "Lilith" because, according to some Jewish stories, she was the first (equal) wife to Adam. We both felt it was a strong name. . .with an easy nick name (Lily). "Isabelle" because we both liked the name.
"Xavier" because we both liked the name. And "Aaron," because it is DH's middle name (and we both liked it).
Both kids have/will have my maiden name also, which is a common Spanish practice.
1. Getting to know him and having him get to know me! Everyday I get more excited about his developing personality, his smiles and his self-made routines. Breastfeeding, bedsharing and babywearing have made baby-bonding such an awesome adventure.

3. Unofficially, I've known DH since i was 15 and he worked at a coffee shop I went to all the time. Officially, we met again at a concert when i was 20 and he was soooo dreamy. His nn was "Mean Jeff," and I knew he needed to be mine
We went on one date and that was it for both of us. Heart bubbles and wedding rings.
4. Jack Everett was named after Jeff's grandfather, John Everett, who died in WW2 and was a tough cowboy of a man.
1. Everything. I love the smiles, the cuddles, playing together, sleeping together...all of it!
2. I like vanilla that has dark chocolate chunks in it. Not chips...chunks.
3. We met through a mutual friend when we were both in school. We can't believe that it has been 8 years already.
4. Men in my family are named Victor (brother, dad, grandfather, great grandfather). My mother had many miscarriages and when I was born (first born), they considered naming me Victoria. Mom went on to have one more girl and my brother, Victor. Well, I always loved the name Victoria. DH and I also wanted a name that is pronounced the same in Spanish (my family), Russian (his family) and English...VICTORIA!
I've only been reading the board for the past 2 weeks, but I'm looking forward to reading more!

4. Why did you choose the name you did for your LO? DH's family is all J names. We continued that theme with our first child - Jaxon. We liked the name Jackson, but DH wanted to call him Jax for short so we went for the alternative spelling. We have yet to call him Jax, haha!
For Trent, he was quite unexpected. We only have one boy named picked out and 2 girl names. Well, we used our boy name so it took us a while to decide on his name. DH decided since we had a J, we needed another T since my name starts with a T. He sent me a list of T names and Trent was the one I loved.
Both boys middles names are family names. My family has a tradition of the boys having 2 middle names, so we continued that tradition. Their second middle names are family names, but also their given birth names.
1. Watching the wonder in my children's eyes as they discover things for the first time. And the pure joy they both bring me.

3. My roommate at the time was working on a film with my husband. My roommates girlfriend and I joined him and some of the crew at a bar in Hollywood. So cliche right? There was a guy sitting next to me who happened to get up right when Ben came in and I offered him the seat next to me. The rest is...
4. 1st son - I loved the name Jack. His middle name is Searcy which is a family name.
2nd son - Jett Nolan are both family names. He was almost a week old before we finally gave up and named him Jett. We tried everything. He was almost a Sam. I really thought a name would click when we met him but it really didn't. Jett is growing on me now.

3. We met at a semester-long music program on Martha's Vineyard in college in 2003. We didn't start dating until Jan. 2007, though.
4. DH "called" Benjamin (family name) with his siblings when he was in high school. We heard Felix when I was pregnant and I fell in love. Hence, Benjamin Felix.
I love the name Josephine because of Little Women too.
1. What's the best part of being a mom (or what do you look forward to the most if you're pg)? I love watching his personality emerge more and more. I love how happy and excited he gets when he sees me or his dad. I love the snuggles!

4. Why did you choose the name you did for your LO? We wanted a Biblical name, but one that wasn't common like Matthew or Luke. We were going to with Elijah, but that's become really popular, then all of a sudden we thought of Moses and it was perfect. We wanted him to have a strong namesake.
1. What's the best part of being a mom?
I am still amazed that I am a mama. I just look at her and smile. Yesterday she started playing in a really animated way, so I look forward to more of that.

3. How did you meet your DH?
He became friends with some of my friends and they all hung out for awhile before I met him. I met him at dinner one night, but wasn't interested until later that week when I got a chance to talk to him alone.
4. Why did you choose the name you did for your LO?
I wanted an old name that hadn't regained popularity and my husband want a math name. We picked Ada because it is fairly rare, and Ada Lovelace, daughter of Lord Byron, wrote a computer language in the 1800s.
1. What's the best part of being a mom (or what do you look forward to the most if you're pg)? I'm looking forward to everything. I know it won't all be rainbows and puppies but I really feel as if being a mom is something I was made for.
2. What's your favorite ice cream flavor? Mint Chocolate Chip
3. How did you meet your DH/SO? A friend introduced us.
4. Why did you choose the name you did for your LO? It's our father's first names. My father died when I was 16 and my DH's died three years ago. It's a little tribute to them even though they won't know their grandson.

3. How did you meet your DH/SO? We're a Match.com couple. We could so be on a commercial. lol
4. Why did you choose the name you did for your LO? Lillies are my favorite flower, and I've loved the name forever. Spelled it Lilliann b/c both my and my mom's middle names are Ann, so I wanted that in her name somewhere... and Ruth is another fave name, plus the Bible verse we had read at our wedding was from the Book of Ruth, so it has a special meaning there as well. Aiden, again, is a name I just loved for years, and Luke just "went" well with Aiden.
1. I'm so excited to meet my baby and watch him/her grow. I've cared for infants full time in the past and I loved watching them learn and become more aware of the world. I think it will be so much more special with my own child.

3. My DH and I were set up by a mutual friend. We weren't romantically interested at first but our friendship grew into something more and here we are 6 years later!
4. Our girl name, Quinn, is one I fell in love with a few years back and I love how it sounds with our last name. DH and I have been talking about little Quinn Lastname since before we were married. I hope to meet her someday.
Our boy name, Elliott, has been a favorite since childhood actually. I'm pretty sure I first heard it from ET and it is the one name I've liked that has A. Stuck and B. not become super popular!

1. Right now, it's getting the great hugs that DS just started to give! It's something different everyday!

3. As interns a the same company during college. We didn't go to the same college or even live in the same state.
4. Names were really hard for us, we went classic.
1. The excited look on Ari's face when he figures something out or does something new. Like the first time he pulled up to standing - he was almost cackling! I also really love nursing. I wasn't sure I'd like it so much b/c it seemed like everyone I knew had a bad experience or problems & had to quit, but I honestly love BFing.
2. I really, really miss Caramel Coyote by Mayfield. They don't make it anymore & since I'm dairy free now I can't have it anyway. I like anything involving chocolate, peanut butter, and caramel.
3. We met at work. I broke a rule to not date coworkers. We used to sell cars together & became close friends & began dating about a year & a half later.
4. We wanted a Jewish name & both like Ari. We had a short list but kept coming back to it. His middle name, Elliott, was my mother's last name. She never changed it when she married. She passed away a few years ago after a 9 year battle with breast cancer.
1. What's the best part of being a mom (or what do you look forward to the most if you're pg)? Breastfeeding, co-sleeping, increased intimacy with my husband over this amazing love we share for our son. Watching Colin explore and learn new things. The pure joy he brings to our lives.

3. How did you meet your DH/SO? He was a year ahead of me in med school. A mutual friend introduced us and the rest is history!
4. Why did you choose the name you did for your LO? His name is Colin Grant: Colin is after a dear, wonderful friend of ours who was killed in a bicycle accident in 2008. Grant is my dad's name.

3. In college - more accurately, when he was in college and I was bumming around. I was a 'townie', but eventually got my degree, too.
4. It was the outcome of long discussion with DH - we both liked Celtic names but had lots and lots of disagreements. I suckered him into using "Paul" as the middle name by asking him in the OR during my surprise c-section. I don't think he could have said no at that point...
1. Knowing that this is what I'm made to do. I know that I was meant to be a Mommy - I just didn't know how awesome it would be!

4. Calloway - there's a strong breeding line in the type of horses I ride that are Callaway horses. DH went to a different HS for a bit and he knew a girl there named Callaway ... I loved it, so it stuck! His middle name is DH's middle name/MIL's maiden name. Ari - I let DH pick it. He found his inspiration fro, Entourage.
Josiah is from The West Wing. LOL.

4. Why did you choose the name you did for your LO? We liked French names (almost went with Sebastien) and wanted a name that couldn't be shortened or had a nickname.
