So I just started my progesterone suppositories yesterday and a few hours after I put in the first one I started to get a really heavy discharge unlike any I've ever had before. I'm afraid I'm discharging the suppository and that it's actually not staying up in there. Is this normal? Should I be doing something different? I thought I was putting it in pretty far, but maybe not far enough? TIA and sorry for the TMI.
Re: Is this grossness normal? (TMI)
Totally normal- gross but normal.
is it crinone? if it is it is most likely the suppository and it's gross. i didn't get discharge like that until i had been on it for a few days. does it feel like something is down there ready to come out?
i would try to insert it as far as you can and then squeeze the applicator thingy.

Thanks for the responses! It's Endometrim, and yes, it's the same sensation as when your period has just started. Last night I sat in a movie theater for three hours (Avatar ROCKS!) and when I got up I actually thought I was bleeding down there, turns out it was just thick white stuff in my underwear. Groooossssss.
it is so, so gross
are you using it 1x a day? if you are do it right before bed and then it won't come out so much.

We saw this last night in 3D?awesome!
I'm on endometrin 2x a day. I actually had to change my pill taking schedule because the major leakage episodes were happening at work, and even a pad wasn't helping. Now I take it at 10am and 10pm, so I'm home at the worst points.
2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14

Unfortunately that is normal. Gross, but normal.
Unexplained Infertility

TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
oh man I might be starting endometrin as early as tomorrow.
I can't wait.....
Totally normal and totally gross. As suggested above, if you insert them before bed it can help with the leakage. Also, I try to get them high up behind my cervix which helps with leakage, too.
Suppositories are nasty. Pantyliners are your friend. :P
I haven't made it to the point of needing the suppositories yet..hopefully this cycle will be the one, though. Not looking forward to the grossness, though!
