Which Graco Car Seat?

I don't know which Graco car seat to choose- they seem to have the ones we like the most and we have decided to go ahead and get an infant seat to start with and then get a bigger one when needed.

I am currently contemplating between the GracoSnugRide and the Graco Snug Ride 35.

The difference between them is... how big of a baby do you think you'll have? Both sides of our family have fairly average size babies, so we went with the SnugRide - plus, the 35 is heavier itself than the regular - too much for me to lug with baby in it.

Next you have to choose a pattern you like!

The SnugRide 35 is BIG or so I've heard. I'd make sure it will fit well in your back seat.

thanks ladies- I was having a hard time figuring out the differences (other than price and child weight). I think I will go with the non-35 one!

I'd go with the regular old Snugride.

We have last year's Safeseat which goes to 32 lbs and I was done using it when my son weighed 15 lbs. Not worth the extra $$$$$. I'm not sure very many people would use an infant seat until their child was 35 lbs.

Well, we went to BRU last night to look at car seats, and we were trying to decide the same thing. The manage helped us by getting a gallon of water (which weighs about 8 lbs) and putting it in each of them for us to see what it will be like to carry a NEWBORN around in . We quickly decided on the plain snugride because of the weight.

The Graco snugride 35 really isn't that much heavier than the regular snugride. I lugged it around for a year and I am a pretty small person. After it started to get really heavy, I just kept it in the car and took baby out.
