What is your "simple win" ?

I know that is a commercial for asthma medicine or something, but I've been making a point to have one "simple win" each day in order to survive these first few weeks.

Yesterday my simple win was shaving while showering. Today my simple win was taking a nap while LO slept.

  • My win for today would be making it through the grocery store without having to nurse in public. No problem with nursing in public except it's not very comfortable or easy to do.

  • Today's simple win was a successful trip to the pool (yay she likes swimming!). Other days, my simple wins are good bedtimes!
  • Today's simple win would be both LO and I sleeping in until 10am.
  • Today's was making it to in indoor playground w/out a meltdown from either of my girls!

Not only did we accomplish that, but DD2 was a dream and slept most of the time.. woke up for "lunch" and played happily in my arms until it was time to go (which was also time for her nap).

AND, DD1 played really well w/ the other kids, very independently (so I could talk to my friends too LOL) and she even ate a good lunch (that's a fight lately). No meltdowns and a very smooth morning/lunch and early afternoon since we ended up staying almost until 2!

  • Mine is having gotten 6 hours of sleep last night, and bringing DS out alone for the first time to a doctor apt. I had a c-section, and it's only been 2 weeks, so I consider both to be pretty good :)
  • I couldn't stand being cooped up in this house for one more second so I braved the grocery store for the first time with DD and it went great!  I kept her carseat covered up with another blanket to protect her from germs (and the pouring rain that is a constant here).  Win!
