40 wk OB appt

Last week: 1 cm, 70-80% effaced

This week: 2 cm, 90% effaced

Doctor says she thinks I'll go before my Thursday appt and maybe even this weekend but I don't really believe her. I think she rounded up my dilation to make me feel better, too!

She said to pick an induction date close to 41 weeks. DH said how about Wednesday, when I'll be 40 wks + 6 days. I feel guilty scheduling an induction that "early" since I want a natural birth but for the sake of my mental health I really, really, really want there to be an end in sight. We haven't 100% decided on the date yet and I hope I won't need it... have to pick something by Monday.

    At least you got some progress!  And maybe the doc will be right and you will go this weekend!  I hope that you get to go natural like you want.

    good luck, i hope your LO makes his way before your induction. i totally feel the same way, we are set for wednesday but i'm praying he comes on his own before that, we have been walking all over creation but i don't think its working. lol

    back to TTC naturally on our own hoping for another miracle.

    Picking Wednesday doesn't make you a failure at natural birth, Sometime you just have to do what you have to do for you and the baby. And being a week over has its drains on everyone.

    I am glad to hear there was some change though, I hope you don't have to induce and you can have that natural birth you want.

    You're making progress - that's a great sign! I'll be 39w3d if I make it to my appointment on Tuesday, and we'll be scheduling the induction for Wed/Thurs of this coming week. I keep getting hopeful when I see more chunks of my MP, but it's all just a tease. Labor dust to us all - hopefully we'll have a few PgAL babies born this weekend!
