TTC#2, question about increasing CM

Hi! I was a Bump member with my first and am TTC my second. TTC can be a lonely road, as you all probably know, so I'm happy to be back on!

I have one of those "helpful" friends who looooves to give advice on TTC, which drives me insane, but her latest sounded interesting so I thought I'd throw it out there and see what you guys think. She said that taking 1tbsp of Robitussin per day a few days before O increases CM. Apparently the guafinisin (sp?), which makes your nose run and eases congestion, has the same effect down below. Seems a bit odd to me, but also kinda makes sense. Anyone heard of this?

    I'm not allowed to talk about taking Robitussen to increase my CM, or about how it definitely improved my CM or anything like that.. Embarrassed

    No, Chuley is just not allowed to promote it! lol

    There are reports of it increasing CM, but it is not recomended to abuse OTC meds!

    Robitussin and Mucinex, with the only ingredient being Gustafin (or whatever), does help increase CM.  It has the same affect on your cervix expelling mucus as it does on your nose, etc.  Yes, your friend is right.

    This.  You just have to be careful not to get Robitussin + letters (can't remember what they are!)  You want to make sure Gustafin is the main ingredent and there is no antihistimine.

    You can also drink green tea to help increase cm.  HTH!  GL!
