I know I haven't been as active as I was before, but I just can't seem to pull myself away from my little girl. I go back to work on Monday, which means that this weekend is the end of my maternity leave. I've already cried quite a few times just thinking about it, and I'm sure once Sunday night rolls around, it'll only get worse. I did manage to convince DH to take next week off so I wouldn't have to take her to daycare just yet. Man, why is this so hard?
In other news, I still have all my indoor Christmas decorations up (including the tree -- it's fake ). I think I'm going to start putting some decorations away today now that Carley is taking a nap.
TGIF!
Re: remember me?
I've been meaning to page you b/c that siggy pic is too precious! Carley is such a doll!!!
Sorry you're going back to work next week

Carley is soooo beautiful
That picture is adorable.
I can only imagine how tough going back to work is going to be. I am having lunch with my boss next Friday to set an exact timline for when it will be (probably mid-March) and I am not looking forward to it at all. I can't even imagine how much I will cry
But all the girls here say that it gets easier as time goes on. I'm sure the first week will be tough but hopefully both of us get used to it relatively quickly. Bottom line is that we wouldn't be going back to work unless we knew it was what was best for our families, so we just have to keep reminding ourselves that we are doing what is right for our daughers. ((hugs))
Thanks
You're right Jen, right now it's the best thing. But I know I'm going to miss looking at her while she sleeps and all her smiles, laughs, and goofy little faces she makes. Plus, I'll have all of ya'll to keep my mind off it the first couple weeks as we get adjusted to our new schedule. I still can't believe my maternity leave went.
It's crazy how fast the time goes when you're home with the little one. I cherish each day, even the days when DH is out of town.
Nikki, can you enlist anyone to help take the tree and decorations down? When my sisters were here, that's what I had them do. Benjamin only naps for 20-40 mins so it would've taken me like 3 naps to get it down and boxed myself.
Virginia! Benjamin is adorable!!! Congrats
...as for the Christmas tree, I'm afraid it's just me. I'll just have to do in short spurts whenever Carley gives me a break. Nick's mom flew up last week to visit and she was going to help me take it down, but somehow we managed to stay busy all weekend. I'm halfway done taking the ornaments of the tree though. Hopefully I'll have everything boxed up by the time DH gets home so all he has to do is take it up to the attic.
((hugs)) It'll be okay. It's amazing how fast maternity leave goes. No matter how long yours is it never feels long enough.
btw - Carley has the cutest smile! I could just eat her up.
Hey you!!! Carley esta para comerla!!! She is so friggin cute!
I'm sorry you have to go back to work so soon
It sucks, but I'm sure you both will get used to it and that the time you do spend together will be even more precious and meaningful. Hope the time flies at work!
::hugs::
It's good to see you and your precious Carly!
Sorry about work.
((hugs))
