Austin Babies

that's it, I'm going Duggar

I don't want my babies to grow up and leave me!  :::sob:::  I'm just going to have 20 to prevent that from happening for a very long time.  ;)

This is very long, but a worthwhile 7 minutes for all the moms having a long day, long week, long month, and feeling frustrated with motherhood.  Just get a Kleenex.  I pretty much lost my shiit around the 6 minute mark and all out sobbed.

Re: that's it, I'm going Duggar

  • I'm afraid to watch it given that I've only seen dd for a total of 10 hours this week.  SOB!  It's been a bad bad week at work (ahem, watch for a press release later this afternoon) and I'm a guilt ridden, tired, mom that just wants to be at home snuggling my dd.

awww, I'm sorry!  :(  Take heart- the weekend is ::thisclose:: to being here, and you can catch up on all that snuggling.

  • **sniff**

ETA: Yes, someday I'll look back fondly on Emily wanting to nurse for the 5th time in an hour and Abby running around with nothing but a diaper on because no shirt is clean enough for her to wear apparently.

  • Good GAWD, woman.  I am bawling!  My pregnancy hormones only made it 2:55 in... I mean you reach out to hold their hand and it is no longer there??  I can't handle it.  I could barely handle lowering the crib setting.  Duggar for me, too... Crying
  • Watched it, cried. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to stop and appreciate everyday moments (like the warm sleeping baby on my lap who is smiling in his sleep).

  • Crying Yeah, um, I'm running now to get J from the nanny....I can barely handle taking him down the street away from me every day...the rest of his young life, how will I do it!? Calling DH now, we're going Duggar too! haha.
  • Oh man, I made it until the very end.   Crying
  • You know...becoming a Duggar ain't a half bad idea! : )

Gosh, it is so hard for me to live in the moment, even though I try with all my heart.   I keep flashing forward.  I keep thinking about how quickly the past 4 years have gone by and that I only have a good 14 left with my Eldest...and who will or won't be here to share the "ordinary moments" with me.

Life is so hectic in the "now" that before I know it, the day is gone and I am back to lamenting about how "few" I have left.

I stay depressed about how both slowly and quickly our days together are going by.

Yup...if I could, would have more children...go the Duggar way...not feel the pain of an "empty nest" (and the impending pitter-patter of the "grim reaper"...the older your kids get...the older YOU get...but that is another story ;) )

  • Crying  I don't even have a child yet, but watching this really made me think of my mom.  She went through all that with my brother and I-- all the stages growing up, and I want to call her right now and just say, "thank you". :(
