So, I signed up for my first ever consignment sale. And the thought of handwriting 100 or so tags pains me. I have this beautiful vision of being able to enter my data in to excel (there are really only 5 fields = my seller ID, price, a red dot if I don't want it 1/2 price the last day, size, and description) and then exporting/mail merging/something to a lovely preformatted state where I can just hit print.
The labels are supposed to be 3x5, but I bought 8.5x11 cardstock and was hoping to get 6 tags out of each (using dimensions of about 2.8 x 5 instead.... Is there anyone out there who can help me????
Here is what the label is supposed to look like....
Re: Any computer whizzes???
Oh my gosh - seriously?? You SO rock. I know it's probably not rocket science, but it's too much for my brain - I've been trying to figure out how to make it work. I haven't done the spreadsheet yet (sale isn't til the end of the month) but need to start working on it.
So, merging them would be the easiest way? Just curious for the future. Can I send you an excel with just the 5 fields even though some of the fields are in 2 places on the cards???
yeah... go ahead and fill it out and then send the excel file to me and I'll send you back a printable document you can just print out.
And you only need one field for each item - like I saw the price was on there twice, you only need it on the excel file 1x.
(except the red dot - you might have to do that one yourself - but... if you mark the ones w/ the red dot, I can make it just do like an "X" or something and then you can color the ones you want to red dot)
