when did you find out what youre having?

i have an appointment today in which I find it pointless when you go to an appointment just to get your weight and pee in a cup. O and yes, also for them to answer any questions you may have.. if i really want to ask a question i can cll. IDK.. its annoying. I wish I could find out what im going to have today!! But i wont get to find out for another month. When did you find out what youre having? with my first I was over 5 months along.. i hope i dont have to repet that.

***** BTW i know the pee test is important.. its just annoying ****

Yesterday.

The peeing in a cup isn't pointless, btw. It's to check for protein in your urine, which as in indicator of pre-e. Worth it, IMHO.

My big u/s and next appt. are both scheduled first thing in the morning on Feb 1st. I'll only be 17.5 weeks, so I'm a little worried they might guess wrong, but I know they are good techs so on the other hand i'm not worried.

Peeing in a cup is pretty damn important if you ask me. It's because of that, that I was induced b/c my son was in danger.

Anyway, my big u/s for both babies was 17w4d.

I was told boy at my 13 week NT Scan. My doctor does the "big" U/S between 20-22 weeks. He won't do it earlier because of the measurements they're looking for.

I dont think any appt is pointless, its crucial for them to check your urine for things like protein, get your blood pressure (you may not even realize if its too high/low), and monitor weight progress.

I believe that I was 19 weeks. And like someone above said, they have you pee in a cup in order to look for any abnormalities (like pre-eclampsia) that might indicate a problem with your pregnancy. My doctor also checks the heartbeat every time so that is worth it.

At my 14 week appointment yesterday they gave me the greenlight to schedule the anatomy scan and they said make it for between 18 and 20 weeks. We're going Feb. 16 at 18w5d.

I found out at 18 weeks 1 day but I have to go back on Wednesday cause they couldn't get good enough pics of her heart.

And not to sound dramatic, but there are alot of places in the world where pregnant women don't have the luxery of seeing a doctor every 4 weeks and peeing in a cup. You should be grateful.

Mine is scheduled for 16w3d (only because I am paying for it, its only $75 and I think it is well worth it) I know the tech that is doing mine is the best in the office, so I am pretty confident she will know 100%, that is if we can get LO to cooperate. If not, it is still worth it just to get ot see LO and get another DVD of him/her...

well I dont agree that appts are pointless - they check quite a few things with your pee & they should be measuring your belly for growth, taking your BP, etc, etc.

anyway I will (hopefully) find out monday, Ill be 19w, 5 d. with ds i found out at 20w exactly. can you try scheduling it today, so you have something to look forward to?

at each appt i also hear the baby hb so the docs are checking on the baby which is really important. i found out with dd at 19 weeks and this time it will be about the same, the appt is fore Feb 9th.

19 weeks for the big u/s.

I look forward to all the appointments. First, I LOVE hearing the heartbeat - everytime it just puts a smile on my face. Second - I'm getting really good at peeing in the cup.
