Nervous to get furniture from BRU

I have heard so many complaints about their shipping and furniture showing up damaged and them taking forever to replace the parts that are damaged. We are heading to the one in MN tomorrow because I found a set that I really like there so I want to show it to DH and MIL since she is buying the crib for us. If DH likes it we will order it tomorrow. What experiences have you had with them 2nd time moms or if anyone on 2nd tri has ordered from there yet?

I was worried about it too and insisted when we picked it up that we open the boxes right there. Well little did I know how well packed the stuff is. There was no way that was going to work so we took it home. Everything was totally fine.

I got a crib and armoire from there and had no issues. But it is really touch and go sometimes

I picked up my Baby Cache furniture last weekend. They packed it REALLY well. I way an entire trailer load of cardboard and styrofoam to haul off to the dump this weekend.

I didn't either until I read about 20 online reviews and reviews under stuff that I was looking at online. I think it's probably hit or miss, but I have heard on the boards before people complaining about getting their furniture and parts missing or being damaged quite a few times on 3rd tri (I lurk a lot) and on a couple of other boards. It's a big purchase so I wanted to double check and get some opinions.

My Baby Cache crib was in great shape. I got it new in a box off craigslist--the box had never been opened. I was really nervous about this too (because I don't know what I would have done), but there was not a single scratch on it.

We ordered our glider and ottoman from BRU and have no complaints. Everything was in great shape when we got it home and arrived more quickly than they'd quoted. I think some people just like to have something to b*tch about and those are the ones who post negative reviews. Some people just can't be satisfied.

I know my friends ordered their crib from their and had to have a new part ordered. I personally have never ordered any furniture from their so I don't know. I did order my crib from jcpenney.com and had it shipped to the store and it was packed really good and I didn't have any problems with it.

Ours was damaged from BRU but they came and replaced it in two days and I was impressed with their professionalism with replacing everything. I would order from them again without thinking twice.

My only complaint is that they left the boxes and packaging materials on the side of our house when they left and I did not notice and they blew all over our street. But, such a minor thing that it is not a reason for me not to re-order from them.

I got mine from Overstock.com/ Can't tell you how happy we are with it. Came in 2 days, no issues. Just as nice the same brand that sells for more at BRU.
