If your NB will share a room with a toddler or older question?

We are in the process of building a bigger house but our 3 year old might have to share a room with the new baby for a little bit. I am wondering what others are doing to ensure the baby is safe and that the older child won't try to climb in the crib, give the baby soemthing, or pick the baby out of the crib?

My dd is a little older - she'll be 6 when her baby brother arrives so I'm not too worried about it. We'll talk to her and let her know that only Mommy and Daddy can pick up the baby. The baby will most likely be in our room for the first couple of weeks or more - I don't want him to wake her up.

I'd probably have the newborn stay in my room with me until either I knew the daugher was okay with the newborn or until the new house was ready.

We actually have plenty of room in our house, but really like the idea of the kids sharing a room. Soooo... they will be... eventually. We're planning to have #2 sleep in our room for several months and then we'll take it as we go from there. Good luck!

We'll just keep baby boy in our room until we're in our new house. Knowing Hailey, she'd want to "help" and would cover him with a blanket or something.
