please recommend your ACTIVITY MAT

LO is so much more alert when he's awake and I wanted to get him something that will engage him other than the swing.

any suggestions?

    We have the Baby Einstein Neptune play mat.  It has all kinds of teething rings and flaps to play with.  Plus it comes with a lighted music thing that you can attach to the mat or put in LOs crib.  DS doesn't do much other than lay there and look at things right now.  He will occasionally hit the toys with his hands by accident.  But it definitely occupies him.  And like you said, it's better than putting him in the swing all the time.  It's also good for tummy time because I don't like putting DS on the floor with the dog.

    We have Bright Starts Baby's Playplace.  She really enjoys it and I like all the different ways you can set it up.

    We have the Baby Einstein one with ocean animals on it but i have hung so many other things from all the hooks! Cole is still kind of just swinging his arms so i wanted there to be plenty of things for him to "find".  I also put little stuffed animals on the floor next to him and he likes to touch those too.  I think the mats are great because of all the stimulation they give your baby!
