MIL left a nice comment on my facebook page

I put something in my status about being discouraged, and somebody asked why. I said that I had stayed up late to pump and only got a bit over an ounce. My MIL commented below that, "Don't be discouraged! You're a great mom!"

Silly, but it made me feel good. 

I just thought I'd post a positive MIL post since we get lots of bad ones on this board. Stick out tongue

    Yes I tend not to chime in much on the MIL hate, b/c mine's not too bad, either. :)

    Mine can be a bit overbearing at times, but she really does have the best of intentions and she LOOOVES my baby so I cannot complain!

    Thats awesome. My MIL is pretty great too. And when she disagrees she tends to keep her mouth shut! I know not everyone here is so lucky though.

    My MIL has been really supportive of us as parents . . . my mom gives me lots of "helpful" advice and thinly veils the fact that she thinks I'm neurotic. Like, a gauze-thin, transparent veil.

    So sweet! I'm glad you posted that. All the negative MIL posts drive me nuts. I just keep my mouth shut because I know I'm lucky to have a great one. She can also do too much sometimes but I'm appreciative and thankful.

    Yes Personally my MIL has lost a lot of my respect since DD was born but its nice that someone`s MIL seems to be doing well.

     

    And not post related but we have that same ladybug outfit for DD and it always makes me smile when I see it on your posts.  Too bad her legs seem to have outgrown it.

    As much as MIL and FIL frustrated me during the wedding and pregnancy, now that LO is here, I would give anything for them to live closer!

    I know what you mean that those comments just make you feel good. We were at IL's for dinner and LO was just so fussy and overly tired. She was screaming her head off and I just kept switching her around to different positions while I ws holding her until i finally got her calmed down. My MIL said "wow you are so incredibly patient, that's the sign of a good mom." It did make me feel good to hear that.
