chart or temp or anything, I have a question for you about ovulation. Do you rely on the ovulation calendars/calculators online and if so how often do you have intercourse? Every day or every other day? Thanks. Sorry if this post is annoying. Thanks for your help though.Wink

    You could try using OPK's.  Once you get a +, I think you ovulate in 24-48 hours or something, so it would take a lot of the guess work out.  When TTC our last pregnancy 2 cycles of charting gave me BFN's and the first cycle with OPK's was +

    I am not charting this time, but did the first time.  I kind of have an idea of how my body goes so I base everything on my cervical mucus.  When cm seems right we try for every other or maybe every third night.  First time around we did everynight but i don't have the energy for that this time.

    I don't temp, but we're [read: me] are casually tracking my cervical fluid. Once it went from sticky to creamy we started having sex every other day. Once it goes to wet/eggwhite we'll do every day until it drys up.

    I just got off my IUD so I can't count on my cycles being normal yet, so just going off of the calender wouldn't really be smart..we could totally miss our mark and not have sex around ovulation.

    Sorry for the TMI. DD doesn't STTN so temping would be near impossible. I'm also insane for TTC again when my first doesn't sleep. Jeez.

     I don't chart or temp but I did use OPKs.  With ds I ovulated on day 12(I always had shorter cycles).  After ds my cycles were longer and with this baby I ovulated day 24.  I got pregnant the first cycle trying with each and if I'd just been going by the average day 14 then I wouldn't have had much luck.

    We didn't use anything to predict ovulation. I had had a couple regular cycles (I have PCOS, so they're usually all wonky), so I just guesstimated about when I would be ovulating, and had sex at least every other day for a week before and after that. We got DD on our first full cycle trying. (And yes, I am aware that was pure luck). Good luck!

    I guess I'm insane too!  I thought I was the only one with a one year who doesn't sleep through the night!

    see based on the dates I put into the computer the calendar said that I was fertile the 20-25 or 26 with ovulation being on the 25th but I guess I will just wait for a positive OPK right?

    I used a combination of an ovulation microscope and CM. Worked well for both avoiding and (obviously) TTC.

    I just tracked CM. We generally try to have sex every other day until the day after EWCM goes away. Sometimes we do it every day, but that's just if we are in the mood.
