So I have a feeling IUI #1 is a bust. I am 8 dpo. My 5dpo progesterone level was above 50, however the day after the blood test all my progesterone-y symptoms went away. Now I feel all crampy like AF is on the way. Can progesterone drop THAT much THAT quickly?
I am feeling really frustrated because what led me to discover my crappy ovulation was a 9 day LP. My RE said that the drugs would correct that, but I am not optimistic they have.
Blah! :-P
Re: How is this possible?
My RE said the opposite, that injectibles often shorten an LP and so women need progesterone supplements after ovulation. If this cycle doesn't work, I would push for some kind of progesterone the next time around.
I hope the cycle did work, though!
Crampy blah feelings are normal in early pregnancy.
With a progesterone level that high, I would bet that you are pregnant with multipels - especially given the fact that you triggered with a lot of follicles.
Mine was 56 at 7dpo......
I hope that you are wrong and that AF is not on her way.
For me, I was told that fertility meds would give me a better O and improve my LP. It didn't really do the trick. I still spotted during my LP on Clomid, and my LP for my first IUI with Gonal F was barely 10 days. After that my RE put me on progesterone for the rest of my IUI cycles. (For IVF you have to be on progesterone anyway.)
If you do have a short LP, I would ask about progesterone.
Good luck!
Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
Thanks a lot!
Let's hope all your optimism does something to counteract my pessimism.
If this doesn't correct the LP thing, I am going to push for some progesterone next cycle, or at least to be followed a little more closely to see what the issue is.
