Question from a 36+ weeker....

Hello ladies. 

I am not a normal poster so please don't flame if this has been asked before. I have a 9yr old DD & a 17mo DD. With DD1 I was late (2 weeks), with DD2 Late (4 days). I went to the Dr monday and I am already 1.5cm, 50%, -1 stage. I know that I could stay this way till 40 weeks but I have never been this far at even 39 weeks!! 

My question is,  how was your labor with your LO? How fast did it progress? With DD2 I went from 6-10cm in an hour! Faster this time??

    Labor with my first DD was 4 hours from water break to delivery.

    Labor with my second DD was 2 hours from the first contraction to delivery. Super smooth and easy. Contractions started out 3 mins apart so we knew it would be another quick one.

    My advice is to call your OB as soon as your contactions are timeable just to be safe.

    i had two scheduled c/s so i can't answer from experience.  however, it is typical for each labor to be faster and faster.  i agree with pp, i would call the doctor (or even just go in!) as soon as contractions are timeable or water breaks (whichever is first).  i wouldn't chance anything!
