Hi ladies,
I know you have all been asked this question a million times but I am really looking for "real" answers. I had my d&c on Dec. 1 and got my first AF on Jan 6. My hubby and I are really anxious to start trying again. My OB recommended waiting one cycle and today I had a physical with my family practice doctor and she recommended 3 months. That is kind of a huge difference in my opinion. I know everyone is different but could you tell me your story. I woudl really appreciate some real life experiences. Thanks! Have a great day everyone.
Re: How long did you wait to try and concieve?
I'm so sorry for your loss!
My OB said to wait 3 cycles after my D&C (before we new it was molar), and one cycle after my chemical pregnancy.
First, let me say that I am very sorry for your loss.
As you can see from my siggy, we basically got pg every other month. My problem was not getting pg, it was staying that way. After our 3rd loss, I went through testing and was dx with a blood clotting disorder. Our losses were not because we did or did not wait long enough in between. I know a lot of girls on here that got pg again before even getting their next AF and have healthy pregnancies and babies.
With a natural m/c, most doctors will say 1-3 months and it seems to be based more on the emotional state of the couple than their physical state. However, since you had to have a D&C, there may be phsical reasons that your doctor is wanting you to wait the extra time.
I hope that helps you. GL in your TTC.
we can answer here, too
so sorry to hear about your loss!
i had to wait 3 cycles after my ectopic before TTC. i think we were ready mentally earlier than that, but the time passed very quickly.

Do it now! I m/c right before Emerson, had one period, and got pregnant with Emerson. I was told to wait three months as well.
Your pregnancy hormones are there and will really help getting pregnant again. GL to you!
