Bed rest Momma's- what's keeping you busy?

I'm starting to get really antsy today. I've been crocheting like crazy, but now my hands need a rest, I have no new books, and there is nothing on TV.

Tell me what your doing to keep yourself busy.

  • If you are out of books, check into ordering some from B&N online.  You can get used ones for pretty cheap if you are on a budget.  Or maybe friends could borrow you some.  I've started farming on farmville on FB.  It's kind of silly, but it takes up a little time each day.  My DH also makes sure of a few things before he leaves for work...

--I have my cell phone and charger at hand so I can call friends and family often.  --My dogs are able to get to the room I'm in so I can talk/cuddle with them.  --I have a new book and an old book for reading.  --The latest Netflix is ready to play in the DVD player.

Also, don't be shy to let friends and family know what your up to.  I took pics of my LO's coming home outfit, swimming suit, dresses, ect. and have made an albulm on FB for them to see the stuff she has.  It's been neat for them and fun for me and seems to get them more involved in how I'm doing.  See if someone can stop over once a week and chat/clean/cook.

I also play lots of solitare and when DH gets home we always play a game of cribbage or something.

Good Luck and keep your spirits up!!

  • I was on bedrest for 3 months with DS. Netflix was my best friend. I love that I could stream movies live. I litteraly would watch a whole series in one day.
  • I agree w/ pp, Netflix is my bestfriend--watch some shows on demand. I have been watching Lost (which is great cuz there are so many seasons to watch with each season having a ton of episodes--it literaly will be days of watching Lost before I get caught up to the current season) You could also try and watch something like Friends or ER that was on for a long time

Im also a fan of just watching trashy tv shows online like Teen Mom (its available on MTV's website) haha

Do you have any sudoku or crossword puzzle books? What about digital scrapbooking? (creativememories.com) HTH! Hang in there--I know some days can just be downright BORING and LONG but remember each day is one day closer to baby!
