We have this super fancy, ridiculously expensive stroller that we have never used because we wear LO. He loves to be worn, and I'm having a hard time imagining myself EVER using the stroller.
This weekend we are going to the zoo, and the thought crossed my mind to fill up the stroller tires and give it a go, but my heart breaks at the thought of it. Am I being silly, or do you feel the same way at times?
Re: BWers - Do you ever use a stroller?
We BW all the time when she was tiny, but now that she's bigger and wants up and down and up and down and up and down and, you get the idea, the stroller is perfect.
So don't get rid of it just yet because your little one has a lot of changes he'll go through

We used the travel system stroller when DS was little and I didn't want to wake him up to wear him.
Now we use an umbrella stroller if we need to. DS is 30 pounds now, so no way would I be able to wear him for long periods, like the zoo. DH doesn't like babywearing but does like to carry him, so he'll use the stroller when his arms get tired.
We have a Bob. I didn't do the travel system b/c our infant car seat was a gift & wouldn't fit, but Ari barely tolerates being in a car seat anyway.
We used the Bob this summer & early fall for walks b/c it was too hot to BW much, & I'm sure we'll use it again when the weather turns. Plus Ari will be a toddler & too big to wear for really long periods. I can hardly imagine it, actually.
ETA: Oh, & your LO is so young, I'd think she'd be happier being worn anyway. Especially at the zoo or in the store or something - that can be a bit overwhelming for a tiny baby. She'll feel more secure being worn, so I say if you don't want to use the stroller, just wear her.
I go back and forth. For a while I was using the stroller (Ex: when we go on a long hike or if we are going somewhere cold at night and I want to bundle her up in hopes she'll sleep)...but usually half the time she ends up in the carrier anyway.
then I got my ergo and since then...she's only been in the ergo ;-P
some places it's helpful (like disneyland) b/c it's a place to store all the "stuff" you accumulate throughout the day.
not a big deal either way. you could always bring both and then you'll eventually figure out which works better for you ;-P
I have a BOB but have only ever used it for running. I almost took it when we went to the zoo but ended up being just fine without it - not that there's anything wrong with taking a stroller of course! But I'm also the weirdo you'll see in Target carrying 25 things because I hate pushing a cart ;-)
Now that kiddo is walking, he's up and down a lot if we are out for any length of time so I find it much easier to have a short wrap on hand than a stroller.

Once the weather is nicer again, we'll be using our jogger everyday. It's a necessity-can't exactly wear her while I'm running!
But apart from running, I do envision us using the stroller-the zoo would be a perfect example. Once she's walking and such she's not going to be content to be worn at a place like the zoo (or park or wherever). I can tell by her personality now that she'll want to be down, hands on, being independent. That's just how she rolls!
i have a snap and go for the carseat and its been a life saver
we live on the 4th floor of our building and ds is usually asleep by the time we get home. i also carry a lot of bags back and forth from work- pump bag, purse, work bag, diaper bag. i toss everything that will fit in the bottom of the stroller and snap in the car seat. then i have to walk to the elevator up to our floor and down a few halls before i get to our apartment. on top of all that sometimes i stop and get groceries before getting home so add in some grocery bags...yep, i cant wait to get a house!
this and i always pack the ergo just in case she wants to be worn.
We have a big one and an umbrella one, and nope, don't use them. I find that if I think about it, BWing is just always easier. If we're going to be somewhere for a while, well, then I'll just use a wrap so it's comfy and we are close - places like fairs and zoos are so full of people. If he's going to be up and down, well, I don't want to have to haul the stroller around, just an easy on/off carrier like the trekker or a MT. We actually ended up storing the big stroller at ILs.
And now he likes to walk, so he walks. I find that carrying a backpack diaper bag and stuffing a MT in it is the best way to get around. And so much easier than figuring out a stroller!
We used it a lot more when she was really small because she would fall asleep in the infant carrier and we had the snap and go.
We maybe use our stroller once every other month these days. However I think once it gets warmer and she is walking we will use it far more. But I am glad all we have is a cheapo $19.99 from BRU (for my mom) and a Maclaren Volo for us because I don't see a fancy one being necessary for our lifestyle.
We also have a snap n go. I use it (w/the car seat inside, of course) in the mall to carry my coat and shopping bags.
We wear all the time. When she first came home (she was a preemie) we would use the infant carrier sometimes but it quickly went away.. we actually gave it and the base to my parents so when we visit them, we don't have to fly with the car seat. We only used the stroller with the carrier.
We just recently bought nice umbrella stroller that we'll use for traveling or extended stuff.. we would use it for the zoo or something that would involve a lot of walking. I would wear her and bring it just in case.
We have two strollers and three carriers (moby, babyhawk, and ring sling). LOL. It's kind of redonkulous. But each serves their own purpose.
We use our Bugaboo Bee all the time at the mall. I can try stuff on and she sleeps great in there. She likes looking around too. It's also a lifesaver on hot days, since she refuses to be worn if it's even remotely leaning towards hot. It's also DH's favorite (he's not a babywearer) so we use it for grocery shopping trips when he's there so he can push her around and talk to her.
We use the BOB for walks. We live near walking/running trails, so we needed something more heavy duty for outdoor use on dirt and grass. I'm also a runner, so I needed a good running stroller. She could use it until she was 3 months, so we just started this past week, but have been out every day for an hour and she loves it. I used to try to walk while wearing her, but she got pissed and hated it because it was too hot. The running stroller is a lifesaver in that regard. I was so sick of not exercising!
If I'm by myself and it's not too hot, I wear her. If our next baby is a winter baby, I have a feeling I'll be doing a lot more wearing and less strolling that I am with Delilah. It's just too damn hot for both of us right now!
We have 2 carriers and a stroller. I love love love my Bugaboo Frog. I can't BW in winter because we don't own a car and I'd be terrified of falling when he's in the swing or the Manduca, so he has to be in the stroller. At least the Bug has a bassinet function so he can lie flat.
I use the sleepy wrap mostly at home and the manduca when we're out on nice days.
