DH went to every appointment with me up until the last two. He recently started a new job, so we're trying to save all his time off until LO gets here.
Are there any really important appointments coming up that DH might want to attend?
Hey Labor Buddy!! (Did you ever get my email back to you??)
My DH has been the complete opposite. I haven't asked him to come with me to all my appointments, but I told him after 34-36 weeks, he needs to come to them so he can ask questions if he has any and listen to what the doctor says.

My DH told me when my appointments went to every 2 weeks he wasn't going to go to every one anymore. Now he insists on going to all appointments, but his work is so slow right now I think he is using it as an excuse to get out of working.

Hey! I'll sign on and check it in just a second. I'm so slack with emails, I'm sorry.
I figured most of the appointments after 20 weeks would be boring, but at the same time I don't want him to miss a "suprise" U/S or something.
DH only came to the big ones with me... first appointment, anatomy ultrasound, and then one other ultra sound. I can't imagine him getting off work to come with me to every appointment because most are rather boring... But I will say I had an appointment where they had to hook me up to the monitor and I really wish he had been there. But we had no idea it was going to happen!
DH only came to u/s appointments. I figured it was a complete waste for him to take off for the 10-15 minute pee in a cup, listen to the heartbeat, measure my stomach appointments.
I think DH has been to maybe one appoinment since our big u/s at 20 weeks. It's just not worth it at all. I get annoyed going to them. Drive 20 minutes, wait 15-20 minutes for someone to tell me I gained weight, BP is normal and LO's heartrate is good. Takes all of 5 minutes. I would maybe consider having him come to the last 1 or 2 because there's always that chance they could send you to L&D if you're ready, but DH works close enough that it's still not worth it for him to come in for the appoinment.
My DH comes to every appointment with me. He loves to hear babies heart beat, also he helps me to remember to ask the questions that I had thought of since my last appointment. Oh, not to mention the fact that he drives me there since my huge belly is in the way of the steering wheel if I am close enough to reach the gas and break petals. ( I haven't driven in probably a month) But my DH has Wednesdays off so it is easy for him to make it to each one, all I have to do is plan them for Wednesdays!
DH usually only goes with me if they are doing an ultrasound, because he likes to see LO. Otherwise I go alone...most of the appointments are pretty boring.
Ditto. He isn't able to get off work that often, plus there's no point in him coming to the boring appts. I'd rather him save his time off for when LO is here.
Re: What appt's does DH need to go to?
