His diaper explodes almost every night - what to do?

We CAN NOT find an overnight diaper that will hold on ds. Almost every night, his diaper explodes and I find him covered in gel pee balls the next morning. It's gross. I've tried pampers, pampers overnight, walgreens brand, huggies, huggies overnight, luvs, publix brand, pull ups and bum genius 3.0 AIO(which we use during the day), all with at least one insert or a diaper doubler. What's left for me to try?

We went up a size in the Huggies overnights and that worked well. Looks a bit silly but DD didn't mind it.

Pampers are horrible for that, I switched to huggies even though DS's butt doesn't really respond well to huggies. I was so tired of cleaning up the beads.

I agree with PP go up a size. Try that.

Try to limit his drinking before bedtime. I use a BG pocket with two hemp and one microfiber insert.

When we were using Pampers overnights they exploded every single night. I had to wash his sheets and blankets every morning because of the nasty sticky beads that would be all over the place.

We started using Huggies overnights in a size up from his usual size and have had no problems!

Same thing happens to my DS. I put him down at 8ish and then change his diaper while he's asleep around 10 or 11 before I go to bed. He usually still wakes up with a full diaper, but no explosions

Def try a bigger size, even if only for the night. DD was doing it, and I went 1 size bigger and it got better. Also, she doesn't have drinks after about 7 or so, and I change her right before she goes down.

I agree with some of the other posters methods, but am also wondering if he's at an age where you can get him to try to use the potty before bedtime? Heck, if all else fails, I wouldn't be above trying sticking his hand in warm water and seeing if you get a wet diaper!

Could you just cut off his fluids at like...6pm or so? Two hours or so before his bedtime?

I agree-- limit late fluids, try the hemp inserts, or else a bigger sized sposie. Those gel beads are SOOO gross. I would rather have a leaky cloth diaper than those weird chemicals spilling around LO's crib.
