Thoughts on a girls name

We're not telling family or friends any of our options, but I would like a "general public" opinion. What are you thoughts on the (girl) name

Tristan Louise

Louise is a family name but I'm not sure if it fits. Thoughts on both?

    I like the name Tristan but I always thought it was a boy's name.  Brad Pitt played Tristan in Legends of the Fall.  He was so hot in that movie!

    IMO Tristan does not go as a girl's name.. really nice boys name though!

    I think of Tristan as more of a boy's name but that's just me.  I really like Louise especially since it has a special meaning to you.  :)

    I LOVE Tristan.  It's on our list for a boy or a girl.  Such a good name.

    Edit:  Tristan IS a girl's name too.  It's listed as gender neutral/unisex in name books.  An example is Tristan Prettyman, a beautiful female musician.

    DD1 born 5/24/10.

    Missed M/C at 14 wks Feb 2012.

    DD2 born 5/14/13.

    Missed M/C at 9 wks July 2015.

    Expecting someone new 4/17/17.

    I like it and think it flows nice together.

    I never heard of Tristan for a girl....but I love it (I am very big on boys names for girls though)

    I like it. Tristan is very modern, especially when being used for a girl, so I think Louise helps with that.

    OMG!! I LOVE that movie! He was super hot! As far as the name I have known a couple Tristans that were females! I think its a pretty name for either sex!

    I'm not sure it goes with Louise though...but maybe Trista Louise?

    ditto! though I have met a little girl tristin--she spelled it that way. I would think she would get a lot of, Kristen? I do like it though

    I was just going to suggest Trista.  I know a girl named Trista, but Tristan sounds like a boy.

    Im also recommending Trista. Tristan is definatly more of a boys name.
    Married on September 11th, in honor of our fallen heroes.

    My girlfriend is naming her son Tristan (she is pregnant).  I don't love the name - for me.  But everyone is different!

    This when I hear Tristian I think of Brad Pitt. I love that movie!

    I guess I see it as a girl's name since I've only met one Tristan and she's a girl, but I have heard it used as a boy's name since I started liking it. Also, the name Trista is out because of our last name.

    I like it, but I know a guy by the name of Tristan so it makes me think it is more of a boys name.

    I like the name Tristan, but I have only ever seen it as a boy. BUT I think it would be a cute girls name!  Louise makes me think old lady and doesn't really go with Tristan.
