I don't have mine with me but I do remember Baby Bargins has a section on this that I found really interesting. They list the weight and lengths online-
I haven't shopped at Gymboree but I would say that Baby Gap is pretty true to size. The only exception I found is with some pants b/c DD is very tall. Baby Gap's 12-18 months goes up to 31 inches. But she was 31 inches at her 12 month appt. and then 32 1/4 inches at 15 month appt. - so she's outgrown some pants in length. I've had her in mostly 18-24 months for the past few months.
In my experience, they both run a little big. DS is 16 months and still has plenty of room in his 12-18 month clothes from both places. But he's outgrown all Carter's 12 month and wears 18 month from there.

Gap has always run true to size for my DD. Gymboree was big on her for the size but a size 6-12mo isnt very practical. A lot happens in that 6mo period. So they were big and then too small like over night. Now I dont have any problems.
Ditto PPs that Gymboree runs big. Gap also runs big on DD but not as big as Gymboree.
I base everything size wise on Carter's clothes as they tend to be true to size and I would rank sizes of clothes like this: Gerber Circo (from Target) Garanamals (from walmart) Old Navy Carter's/OshKosh Gap Gymboree
Ditto pp...Gymboree runs pretty big for my daughter anyways...She was into their size 12-18 months probably until her 2nd birthday or so...Gap is pretty true to size, maybe a little big, but not as big as Gymboree...I would say go by the height and weight, not necessarily by their age and you should be ok.

Gymboree runs a little big. DD wears a 4T in pj's (carters) and can still fit into rarely 2T but all 3T pants.
No idea about GAP.
