My best friend has PCOS. After 2 long years and tons of medications & procedures, she got pregnant with her 1st born. The pregnancy went well.
She and her husband have been TTC their 2nd child for over 6 months now, but they are having an easier time getting pregnant. Unfortunately, she miscarried around 5 weeks back in September. She found out last month that she was pregnant again. Her betas were great... they almost tripled.
Yesterday she went in for her first ultrasound (she's almost 7 weeks) and the baby was a good size, but the heartrate was slow (about 56 bpm) and irregular. Her doctor says that she could be losing the baby, or it could be early and hopefully things could be better next week.
I'm so scared for her. She's devistated, and rightfully so. Did any of you have this happen? Can you tell me the outcome?
Re: Slow irregular heartbeat at first u/s... miscarrying?
I'd say it's not a good sign...
Hi, BTW

You will always be loved & missed our sweet angel.
This happened to me. My first us with DS was at 6 weeks at the RE. Slow heartbeat, less than 75 bpm. Went back 10 days later and all was well. I too have PCOS.
I hope it works out positively for your friend.
Thank you so much for this. I'm just going to keep praying and praying that things work out.
