I really only have three friends that I would consider close friends that I would call up to go see a movie or go out. Plus I have two sisters, but one lives four hours away and one is still in HS. So not ideal.
I feel like such a loser because I never have anyone to hang out with. None of these people have kids either. I think I need some new mommy friends.
Re: NTR: How many close girlfriends do you have?
I met a lot of mommies on my local board who I now consider very good friends.
Before I was on my local board: 2-3 close friends (not including my mom, who I spend a lot of time with)
After my local board: 7-8
I only have 2 that I consider to be close friends. We hang out once or twice a month. One of them is pregnant now and the other is considering having children, so we might have our own mommy group someday! lol. It is hard when you are the only one of your close friends that has a baby.

just one (i'm super good friends with SO's mom, but we knew eachother before he and I ever met....we work together....but I can't count her)
all of my pre-mommy days friends decided that their boyfriends were more important than our friendship (some i've known over 5 years)

I have trust issues with women since being stabbed in the back one too many times....
ETA: I should add that I have a few girlfriends, but I always have my wall up and always will.
2 good girl friends
1 great internet friend
1 sister
1 sil
4 that I would consider really close. But only one lives near me. The rest are in another state. *sigh*
And none of them have kids. I'm sorely lacking in the mommy friends department.
2 very very close girlfriends, 1 best friend who is a guy and some Mom friends who I continue to get closer to.... some of whom post here!
Of the 2 girlfriends... 1 lives 1000 miles away, the other lives 10 miles away but might as well live 10000000 as she has 4 kids ranging in age from 18 down to 8. She is always going to soccer or gymnastics or something, and rarely has time to get together... She is there if I need her, though!
My best friend is a guy, and I also consider his partner to be my best friends... the two of them and my husband and I spent a lot of time together, but as much as I love them both, they are not the same as a close girlfriend
i haven't had a female BFF since grade school. all my best friends have been guys.
i remember when i got married i thought, thank gawd i have sisters or i wouldn't have had anyone to stand as a bridesmaid.
i don't hang out a lot with my guy bff since i'm doing the mom thing. mostly i just bagder him about getting serious with his gf so they can catch up to dh and i :P
This pretty much sums up my situation. I've never been really close to a lot of females, and the ones I have been close to, usually turn out to be not the people I should have trusted.
I'm thankful that I have a great sister. Other than my husband, she's the only one I know I can count on no matter what.
I do wish I had other mom friends. Sometimes I feel lonely, like maybe I'm missing out on something, but then I look around and realize I don't really have a lot of the same interests as the women I see. The drama gives me a headache. If it's not the drama, then the religious explanation for every.little.thing is a bit buggy. I wish I didn't live in such a teeny tiny town.
I'm lame. Maybe one day...
2.
One of those lives really far away.
It's pretty sad.
same here. Recetnly I've become really close to a friend from h.s. who has a DD around M's age. My other good friend moved to Florida and is a good 24 hour drive away. Everyone else has seemed to dissapear off the face of this earth.
1 sister who I can talk to about anything, but she lives across the country.
2 close girl friends that live about 2 hours away, feel like we have been fading for a while though after I had ds everything with them changed.
1 close mommy friend
a few other mommy friends
