Waking sleeping baby BACKFIRED!!!

So...my dr. suggested waking my LO up because he starts his long sleep at 5:30 in the evening and then up and WIDE awake to play at midnight and then really up for the rest of the day (yes rest of the day with no nap) at 3 am.  I tried to wake him up and what a flop-all he did was scream and then fell back to sleep while I fed him!!! ugh!

    I had a very similar situation! DS used would start his long sleep at 4 pm and then would be up for the day at 4:30 am!  Waking him would be a disaster!  I solved it by wearing him in a sling at 4 and he doesn't go into as deep of a sleep and wakes at at about 6ish for a bit, before going down for the night.    HTH!
