DD was like 12 days old or something crazy like that. I think we'll wait a bit longer this time since our godparents don't even know they've been picked yet, and no one has attended the classes. LOL. Oh how life is different when it's your 2nd babe;)
Re: How old was DC when christened? (we are Catholic)
DD1 was four months old. Her first month was so hectic with the holidays, and by the time we got our act together, it was the earliest available day after the earliest available baptism class.
We will probably have DD2 baptized when she's around two months. That reminds me, I need to look into how our new parish handles baptisms...
Good point, I never knew that. Thanks.
Katie: 1/16/08 2lbs. 15oz.
Abby & Emily: 12/31/10 6lbs. 2oz. & 5lbs. 7oz.
DD was around 3 months, I think? We flew home so she could be baptized at DH's family's church, so that was the soonest we could manage. (DH is Catholic, I am not but we attend together.)
It'll probably happen sooner this time; I actually stopped at the church this week to get the paperwork rolling, and since it's been less than two years, we don't have to take the class again.
Our church is a lot more lenient than DH's, too, so we don't have to provide as much documentation. If the godparents can't come out, we can just pick proxies and go ahead with the ceremony, so I think things will happen faster this time.

We are catholic also.
Our boys were born in December and I wanted to have them baptized before lent started, but that didn't happen as the one set of godparents went away the whole month of Feb.
Then of course all the babies are baptized right after Lent. So our boys weren't baptized until June.
My DD was born in April and done in July.
Neither one worked out they way I wanted to.
Not fun holding babies in a hot church, dressed up and sweltering hot!
I am Roman Catholic, my daughter is 2 1/2 and will baptised this year.
Long story.
DD was 5 months.
DD#2 was baptized when she was exactly one month old.....during Lent in a Catholic church. If I remember correctly, they *will* baptize during Lent, just not during a mass. We choose a private baptism after mass so it wasn't an issue. We (or the Godparents) also didn't have to attend any classes.
In our family we baptize fairly young as they all wear a gown that my grandma made for my dad's baptism over 50 years ago.

Both of my boys were baptised at 4 months. Although, Chase was fatter so he couldn't wear the same outfit.
DD will also be baptised this March whe nshe is 4 months. We are actually getting my wedding dress made into a gown for her! I'm pretty excited.
