Have you ever had general anesthesia before? The surgery wasn't too bad-mine was done pretty quick. They make sure you can pee alright before sending you home. Definitely take your pain meds as prescribed. That first day, I pretty much slept all day. The next day I was pretty tired too and laid on the couch. You will need your husband to help you move and get up that first day for sure. The next day, I was able to get up and go to the bathroom fine, but still had to take it slow and pretty much slept all day too.
I had mine on a Monday and went back to work Friday- but wish I would've stayed home b/c I was still tired/exhausted. If you have a desk job, you may be ok. It probably took me 10-14 days to get back to my normal self. The incisions are very small- I had one in my belly button and one at my bikini line. And they weren't too tender/or painful at all.
Things to help you afterwards: cough drops b/c your throat may be dry from the tube, gatorade, soups, etc.
Good luck if/when you have yours. Don't be too nervous- it's pretty simple.
