Yep me too! I took the last session with Kriste at From the Heart, and she was great. The next session starts in a few weeks and if you sign up early you get a little discount.
I've taken three other classes there, and I love it. The best Yoga in GR.
I have been taking prenatal yoga classes at Seva Yoga in E.Grand Rapids (Gaslight Village) and highly recommend them. Jess the instructor is incredible!
I've been taking just a standard yoga class through Tri-Ace (the Jenison/Hudsonville/Grandville public schools adult enrichment program). I've spoken with my instructor and she says I can continue to do these classes, instead of a prenatal class. When I start to "pop" she'll show me the modifications for a couple poses, but other than that she said just to listen to my body and take it a little slower if I need to. She said she's had women take the class right up until when they give birth (one student attended the Tuesday class and gave birth two days later, on Thursday).
So, if you can't find a class specifically "prenatal" you can still take a standard class - just make sure the instructor knows and is ok with it!
I concur that Jess at Seva yoga is the BEST!! It's hands down one of my top five things I love about being pregnant. I am so calm and the breathing I learned (and sort of have "mastered") is way better than what I learned in the birth classes. It is pricey, but buy the new student pack and then go with a larger package...I think 12 weeks is $150 but you don't have to go every week.
