anyone use angel care monitor?

Has anyone used the angel care monitor? After my CPR class MOnday Im liking the idea of an alarm going off if there is no movement after 10 minutes... BUT only if that is detecting she isnt breathing, not if shes just sleeping well! Just wondering how sensitive it is?!

  • We bought one to use for LO, but it goes off after 20 seconds of no movement . . .

  • We used one with DD - and honestly, it gave me so much peace of mind.  It does go off if they move off the sensor, just a warning - but that has only happened a handful of times to us.  There have been a couple of legit scares where it went off and I went in to find her in her spot where she should have been, so no telling (and I don't want to think about it) what might have happened if it hadn't gone off and either startled her or what.  I love that monitor - we will absolutely be using it again for this LO.
  • We used one with DD, it only went off once, when my DD was 10 months old and she was standing at the other end of the crib looking at herself in the mirror. I guess we didn't really need to be using it anymore.

It gave me some peace of mind, but I continued to check on her very frequently. We will use one again with LO, it's already installed in the bassinet.

It has a sensitivity setting, be careful if you use a fan in the nursery the monitor could pick up the fan movements rather than the baby.

  • I used it with DD. My only issue was when I took her out of her crib in the middle of the night for a feeding, it took just long enough for me to get comfortable with her and then the alarm would go off. Which is really annoying at 2 am! I could never remember to change the switch when I was taking her out to feed her, and it was a pain to have to bend over and grab the monitor part to move the switch so the alarm wouldn't go off when I did remember
