DS doesn't like when other kids cry. He typically starts crying himself. Especially after seeing pawley's post below, I know DS will cry when DD cries. How long did it take for your LO#1 to get used to LO#2's cries?TIA!

Great question, I am interested in these responses. I held my little cousin's doll at Xmas, it's one of those that cries and moves around. DS spazzed and tried to rip it off my lap. When he couldn't do that, he poked it in the eyeball.
Poor, poor baby girl.

We don't make a big deal of her crying and as a result neither does DS. I was telling him for weeks before she was born that babies can't talk, instead they cry. And then I'd ask him "what does a baby say?" (much the same way I'd ask what does a cow say) and he'd reply with a "wah-wah-wha".
He was used to it from day one...but if I cry on the other hand, well, that's a totally different story...lol
Just a couple days but DD was colicky so she cried all the time. After a couple days DS started giving DD the paci or rubbing her face when she would cry.
DS had horrible reflux and screamed most nights and DD would sleep right through. One night we even had to take him to the ER because he wouldn't stop screaming and spitting up. She slept through it all - she woke up to the door closing as we came home.
You might be pleasantly surprised. DD#1 is highly sensitive, and other people's moods affect her a GREAT deal. She had no issues when DD#2 came along. No issues with the crying.
When DS was born, DD#2 would freak out when DS cried, but I calmed her down pretty quickly.......
