NBR: My House is Spotless...

Except for the freaking bathrooms.  I haven't cleaned them in over three weeks.  The upstairs bathroom, in particular, is absolutely disgusting.

The rest of the house has been scrubbed and is in perfect condition.  I just CAN'T, for the life of me, bring myself to clean the bathrooms.

Someone kick my ass, please.

Re: NBR: My House is Spotless...

  • My upstairs bathroom is about the only thing I CAN keep clean in this house. We should trade spaces and clean for each other. Smile

  • Just call Merry maids and tell them all you need done are the bathrooms. LOL
  • lol

How can you bring yourself to keep it clean?

The thought of going up there and battling pee stains on the bottom of the toilet seat from DH, pubes, etc, etc, etc. is just... disgusting.

LOL Seriously!!! I would love to do this. You think they'd go for it?! lol

  • I have had a cleaning service come in and do the bathrooms and kitchen floor for the last month and a half.  :)

I just cant get on my hands and knees and do proper cleaning!!  And the cleaning stuff it smelly and it makes me sick!

  • Good for you - I love a clean house!!!

I'm just about there - I have to clean the kitchen floor tomorrow.  I'm rotating the vaccum to each floor (we have 3 levels) each day and going over everything again and again.  I'll wash the upstairs bathroom again tomorrow - it was done last week - though DH does the tub, I just can't w/ my belly!!!

Today I cleaned out the pantry and the oven.

Now I'm gathering up our old clothes to give to the Vetran's that are coming tomorrow.

     Can you say nesting ?????

I know!! At this point I am trying to get one "Big" thing done per day and keep up with daily stuff.  I'm vacuuming every other day (just two levels here).  I organized the master bedroom closet last night and have a bunch of stuff to go to the Goodwill.

Need to clean both bathrooms, clean and organize the garage and then I should be done.  I'm sure as soon as I finish those things, though, I'll come up with a list of five more.

  • I really wish my nesting would kick in.  SIGH!

  • I've cleaned the master bath shower 3 times in the past 2 weeks and it is still not clean enough for me. It makes me sad that I can't get all the mildew stains out.
  • I'm so jealous!  I've been cleaning the last two days and I fell like nothing has improved.  But, I have yet to make it to the bathrooms either.
  • This nesting thing reminds me of when we had our house for sale, always kept it spotless because you never knew when you'd have someone wanting to do a walk-through. I've finished just about everything I can possibly think of, laundry is the only thing that never ends!

I have an interesting way of cleaning.  I don't tackle the whole room at once.  when I take a shower, I take in the scrub brush and spray, and clean it as I go.  I will randomly do the sinks while I brush my teeth.  I do the toilets whenever I notice them.  By doing things in pieces parts at random times, I never feel like I took the time to clean the bathroom.

They absolutely do this, and it's soooo worth it! If I could figure out a way to put this on my registry, I totally would! I think this is an awesome gift idea for a mom-to-be! Do it!

This is a very good idea - I should do this to keep up with things but it's so messy right now, it really needs a deep clean!
