Pregnant after a Loss

My work has changed insurance providers...

as of February 1.  Please note that my perinatologist is no longer in network and I will be forced to pay 40% as opposed to 10% of my child's birth and for my care between 2/1 and my 3/29 due date.

For goodness sakes... when will the continuous cycle of craptastic end????

Re: My work has changed insurance providers...

  • Have you asked the insurance carrier about continuity of care?  I know when I worked in health insurance (for eight years), we would offer continuity of care to patients who came on in the last trimester of their pregnanct.  I would definitely ask.  And ask again higher up if you get someone who says no the first time.

I was going to tell you to ask the same thing. I only heard about this when I changed insurances with the move. You might as well ask, can't hurt right.
