Pain in lower abdomen???

Hi All - I'm waiting on a call back from my OB, but thought I'd see if this is "normal."  I'm having a sharp pain in my lower abdomen...under my belly just above pelvic bone.  Doesn't feel like round ligament pain or menstrual like cramping.  Just periodic sharp pain.

 Any thoughts?

    Try drinking some water.  It might just be uterine spasms.

    i had similar pains last week and asked doc about it...he said same as pp, probably spasms.

    I just had some to the left side of my belly & drank a bunch of water.  They seem to have stopped.

    How far along are you?

    I've been having similar pains for the last couple weeks, mostly as a result of changes in position (going from sitting to standing, etc.).  They feel like really sharp gas pains in my lower abdomen.  My OB said that it's just from the growing weight of my uterus -- it's basically round ligament pain, but it feels different from how it felt earlier in my pregnancy just because of the larger size of my baby.

    Thank you everyone!  I just wanted to make sure I didn't need to rush off to the hospital.  I lifted some cases of water at Costco during lunch and I was already feeling guilty about that, so I was afraid the pains might be related.
