Have any of you used Dr. Harper as your RE in Huntsville? Since my HSG was all clear the next step is to have Matt do a SA. We are waiting to see if I am preg or AF first. I am in the 2WW now. AF is due the 24th.
If AF comes, I am going to switch over to the RE refereed by my OB, Dr, Harper. I will be going into my 4th cycle of Clomid and the only other thing my OB could do for me is a lap but the RE could do that too. So I am out of options with my OB. It's sad. Next month will be my 11th cycle and although its normally supposed to be the 12th before you see an RE I'm heading over anyway. My nurse told me I could at any time.
So, I didn't mean for this to turn into a pity party because that is the last thing I want. I just hoped someone had experience with Dr. Harper or recommended someone else. I was also told about the ART Program Drs that come up from Bham as another option.
Re: Dr. Harper in HSV (RE)
I don't have any advice regarding Dr's, yet I wanted to say that I'm sorry you're having such a rough time. I've got my fingers crossed that you get a BFP this time.
I only have wonderful things to say about Dr. Allemand with the ART program in Birmingham. DH saw him when he was dx with testicular cancer. Dr. Allemand invited me to come to the appointments (even though DH and I weren't married at the time) and sat us both down for a nice straight talk the first time. He was able to answer all of our questions and really helped put us at ease.

That's good to know! Maybe I should go ahead and make an appt for the beginning of next cycle and if I get a BFP I could cancel???

i have no advice re dr harper. but i just wanted to send my ((hugs))
Hey sweetie!
I'm sorry to hear that you're having such a tough time. I used Dr. Harper and LOVED him! He did my lap as well. I honestly can't say enough good things about the man.....great office staff....gave me TONS of support and ultrasounds when I thought I was m/c'ing.....tons of support throughout my actual miscarriage (suspected ectopic). Another former nestie went to him as well and just LOVED him. At the time I was TTC, he was the only game in town and I got into his office for an appt. in under a month. Please call me or email (or send FB message)...whatever, if you need to talk or need more info on him. Again....can't say enough GOOD things about him. He's the reason that I have Caroline....
ETA: If you're going to have a lap done, I would definitely have it done by an RE, regardless of which one you go see. They have a higher level of training than an OB. And seriously, any questions you have, please feel free to email or give me a call (Sarah can give you my number, if you don't already have it). [[[HUGS]]]

I don't post here regularly and usually just lurk but I have to reply to this.
Dr. Harper is absolutely wonderful! I've been his patient since May '10. He's a very smart man who knows his fertility! I am also annovulatory but do to PCOS. I never o'd on clomid alone. We had to do piggy back cycles just for me to have one follicle. Eventually, we decided to move onto injectiables. Dr. Harper's staff is some of the best I've ever encountered. They truly care about you. During the initial consult, Dr. Harper really takes his time to fully understand your situation. I can't say enough wonderful things about them. We couldn't get where we are right now without their help. We are 7w3d right now. After our 2nd loss in September, he said without a doubt we would have a successful pregnancy within 6 months. Although we are very early on, this is huge for us as this is the first pregnancy we have seen a heartbeat. If you have any questions about his office, just let me know.
