Phil and Teds Owners-Question about Double Attachment

We are looking at the Phil and Teds stoller with double attachment. We tested one out over the weekend with DD in the double seat. She kept putting her fingers out and touching the wheel. DH is worried that she would get hurt by doing this. Have any of you had issues with this?

    we keep our younger son there and he is pretty good about keeping his hands inside.

    C started riding in the jump seat at 1 (I put her BFF up front when he visited), when properly strapped in they should not be able to reach the wheels. When they get big enough to reach them, they really are not interested. I don't strap C in anymore so she can jump in and out.
