we can start a support group.  DD is 18 months.  we just returned from the pediatric gastroenterologist and i had to give her an enema.  maintenance dose of miralax every day from now on.

    Horrible, isn't it.  I can't believe I didn't realize it.  Our Dr. wanted to do an enema, but she had all the muscles in her pelvic floor clamped so tight, she thought it may be too much trauma for her, so she decided to do the oral clean out.  Totally different child now, so I am happy that I was neurotic. 

     Hope everything goes well with your DD.  We can exchange notes!

    she was so impacted the doctor didn't want to wait for the oral clean out.  it was crazy but it is better now.  i also realized i'd been giving her probably 10 grams of fiber a day, when she really only needs 5.  so if i didn't match her fluids with that, i was creating the problem.  glad i got i mostly figured out before potty training though.
