Question for you 3 hour GTT gals...

Last week I failed my one hour glucose with a sh!ttastic score of 167. At my 29 week appointment yesterday, the nurse told me that I was spilling glucose in my urine. My question for you: if you have been told that you were spilling glucose and had to take the 3 hour GTT, how did you do? Did you pass?

I really don't want diabeetus.

    I have no clue about the glucose in urine as I've never been told if I have or haven't...

    What I can tell you is that I failed the one hour(146; Dr. fails over 130) and the three hour(+4 on fasting and +1 on 2nd hour), got diagnosed, set up with a gluco-meter and got schooled on "good foods".  Then I retook the three hour and passed so now I'm still considered a GD but more of a borderline case(only have to randomly test my sugar, no insulin, etc).

    Just thought I'd give you some hope because I know how freaked I was when I first started through all this crap :)

    I, too, just wanted to wish you luck.  I had the 3 hour GTT and passed, but my 1 hour results were 147 and I never had the glucose in my urine.  Bring a book, magazines, crossword puzzles, and your ipod!  3 hours goes really slow when you are nervous!

    I failed the 1 hour with 142, and had sugar in my urine a couple of times, but they said it could have just been because of what I'd eaten before my appt. I passed the 3 hour, no problem (don't know what my scores were though). Good luck!

    sorry to bring down the party, I failed my first one with a 170 and had glucose in my urine. I also failed my 3 hour with equally miserable scores and now I got the "baby beetus".  it's not too bad though, Edy's makes really good sugar free ice cream!
