Thanks for all of your advice last week about being bored. You gave me great suggestions for things to do, so hopefully I won't go insane!
Today, Lucy and I ventured out to Old Navy and Babies R Us (only my second solo trip with her!). It felt safe - Babies R Us has the mother's room, so I felt super confident. We went right after she was nursed and changed. At Old Navy, she was wailing so I ended up just holding her and pushing the stroller. I didn't need anything so I was fine just walking around with her. We were getting ready to leave when I noticed her back was wet. Like super wet. Half way up. I moved my hand and... poop. EVERYWHERE! She soaked all the way through her fleece sleeper and a fleece blanket. Holy blow out! We rushed to Babies R Us next door so I could change her, clothes and all. I have never seen such a tiny baby produce so much poop!!
The good news is I handled it all very well, laughing the whole time. Silly anxiety won't get the best of me!
Re: Venturing Out FAIL
Old Navy was our first solo trip too! We've had many successful outings since then but the blowouts still get me! Last week we had a blowout and the only outfit in the diaper bag was completely inappropriate for the weather.... ack. Even so, I thanked my lucky stars we had clothing in the bag at all -- won't leave home w/o double checking that again...!
I am thankful every day for my miracle after infertility.
And thrilled to be pregnant again after FET!
You have to laugh to keep from crying...or at least I do ;-)
Good for you for getting out of the house...it kills me if I don't get out of the house a few times a week...
