  • I thought women were supposed to get those.

I don't plan on either of us getting anything, at least not at this point. I could still change my mind.

    New Dad

I think I deserve a REAL present! Ya know... since I am doing all the work

  • I'd like to get him a little something, but I haven't picked anything out yet.
  • NO, he will not get a "push gift" but I might get him a "Didn't Faint gift"

  • So funny you ask, I just asked some friends about this today!! Yes I want to. Adam has gone above and beyond during this pregnancy. I want to get satellite radio and an iPod adapter installed in his car.

  • Initially no, but I have been thinking lately that I would like to get him something small but thoughtful to mark this milestone.  On a side note, I am hoping that he will get me something nice and I even know what I would want in a perfect world, but am keeping my mouth shut since it has a bigger price tag and really I want him to pick this gift.

  • I dont get the point in "push presents". Last I checked, both people involved get a beautiful child out of the situation. Rediculous.

lol, this is basically what DH is getting- that paired w/ a thanks for being such an awesome buddy to our DD. I'm treating him to a ski trip out west- although I warned him he'd better go while I'm still on mat leave and have some energy to take care of 2 kids by myself!

  • I have never heard of the man getting a gift, only the mommy.
  • Wow, well I guess I'm in the minority here!  Adam has been so helpful throughout this pregnancy and so tolerant of my crazy moods/hormones!  He does so much around the house to help without being asked and without a single complaint and he's gone to every appointment with me.  This is just as special for him as it is for me, and I really think he deserves something nice.  It doesn't have to be anything super expensive, but I just want to do something special for him.  We're BOTH getting a baby so I don't understand the logic that "he gets a baby so he doesn't need a gift".  Labor is painful for me but it's also very scary for him, so it's not like I'm the only one "suffering".
