Describe what movement feels like to you.

I'm not sure if I'm feeling the baby move or it's something else. I've been feeling a vibration-like sensation, a little to my left side, but really low. Much closer to my pubic bone than my belly button, for example. And it feels like I put my phone on vibrate and had it implanted inside me (not a very romantic description, huh?). For those who KNOW they're feeling baby movement, what does it feel like?

sounds like baby to me. It will be low at that point, or at least you'll feel it low. mine feels like a twitch

Mine is still really low by my pubic area most of the time. Every now and then I get something up higher- now above my belly button, but my little guy's hands and face have been deep in my pubic bone at my last 2 u/s (I had one at 20 and 22 weeks). So if your LO's sitting low, that's where you'll feel something.

Mine felt/feels like butterflies in my lower abdomen. Like a twitching feeling almost like it could be gas bubbles. It's definietely baby. This is the time to start feeling that. How exciting!

Really low, like a muscle spasm. Sometimes I feel a twitch in my leg or something - that's what I feel in my lower abdomen. I think you're feeling your baby. Fun, huh?

With DS, the first time I felt movement it was squirmy. Reminded me of a fish. This baby went straight to kicking, which started off feeling more like taps from the inside or popcorn popping. It's very low right now.

Mine started with vibrations just like you describe. Then it was like, rolling, flipping feelings. Now I feel taps, or like popcorn popping like pp said. It's like I can feel her legs or arms bouncing off my uterus or something. I think she's having a growth spurt though, I haven't felt much yet today after feeling lots of kicks yesterday.

intially it felt like muscle twitching, then like rolling type movement, now it's just obvious when LO is moving, kicking, tapping me.

I first felt something when my cat was lying on my stomach. I felt something twitch and I couldn't tell if it was her or me. For me it's like mild muscle twitches, and disturbingly similar to feeling my heartbeat throb away in my abdomen. I wish I didn't have the heartbeat thing, so I could feel LO more.

When I first started noticing movement with my first (around 16-17 weeks maybe), I felt big "flicks" - like if you were flicking the inside of your hand. With this pregnancy, I'm kind of starting to notice little taps much lower in my abdomen; but only when I'm resting and really concentrating.

Mine started at 18 weeks and felt like little bubbles bursting or popcorn popping low in my abdomen/pubic bone area. He has now started with the full on kicks everywhere, so there's no mistaking it!

When I first started feeling movement, I had a very difficult time distinguishing it from gas. Everybody says you'll just know when it's the baby moving, but honestly, I didn't. So for me it felt like gas bubbles at first. Then I felt more of a rolling movement...like a fish flopping around or something. Now I can feel more jabs and punches and my husband can feel it when he puts his hand on my belly, which is fun. She's still down low by my pubic bone, but once in a while lately I can feel something higher up.

about 3 weeks ago it felt like butterflies bouncing in my tummy...a week later i started to feel like someone was lightly thumping the inside of my belly. all of the movements are in the lowest area of my tummy. once or twice the thumps have been higher, but never at belly button level.
