  Triggering on the day of IUI is unusual.  I would call back and ask them again, just to be sure.

  I've definitely never heard of triggering the same day.

  My trigger was always the night before as I went in for the IUI first thing in the am, so ~12 hours.  The sperm can live for a couple days, so it shouldn't be a big deal, but you can ask if it makes you feel better.  GL!

  5 REs + 3 surgical hysteroscopies for septum/lap + 3 failed IUIs
  IVF w/ICSI/AH & acu = BFP!, unexplained spontaneous m/c @ 8w2d (our little girl),
  FET w/acu = BFP!, B/G twins!, lost MP @19w, dx w/funneling cervix @20w,
  twins nearly lost to IC @21w, saved by rescue cerclage, 17P & 16w of bedrest
  Our twins born @36w4d via CS when A came foot first

  I triggered 24 hours before for all three of my IUIs.

  I triggered same day for mine.  I never thought this was unusual until I read everyone's posts, but we do B2B IUIs so maybe it makes sense in that scenario.

  I was told I would trigger at night and then come in 2 days later first thing in the am for IUI.  So about 36 hours.  Triggering the same day seems unusual.

  
  After 2+ years and multiple treatment cycles,
  including an IVF vacation in Costa Rica/Panama,
  IVF #2 brought us our miracle baby!
  

  Surprise!  Baby Boy is on the way!

  I triggered 24 hours prior to my first IUI and then had another IUI 48 the next day also (so, 48 hours after trigger).

  I have heard of some docs triggering 12 hours before the IUI.  It's not the norm for most ladies doctors on the board, but there are several who do it.

  we triggered a few hours before our first IUI.  i thought it was weird too but docs have their reasons.  maybe it has something to do with when you ovulate (early or late...?)  for the rest of ours we've triggered two days before.
