I had one at 28 weeks to check on my placenta (to make sure it wasn't too low - it wasn't). Then another at 29 weeks because the baby decided not to move all day, but I hope you don't have that happen - it sucked and was totally not worth the u/s, although she turned out to be fine.
So, not really routine, but not unusual either... just depends on what you have going on.
I don't think so. I had my 30 week appointment today and because I am having major difficulites gaining weight she scheduled an u/s to check and make sure everything is ok. But, if it wasn't for my weight issue I wouldt' be having another one.
My doctor is doing one last one in the 3rd trimester, I think around 30 weeks. But that's it.

Re: question re: u/s after week 20.
