Is your DC a backseat driver?

DD is always making us laugh in the car.  This morning as we were backing out, she yelled "Whoa that was close!!!"

Re: Is your DC a backseat driver?

  • hahaha, YES!  DS will tell me when I turn the radio and he was listening to the song I switched.  Then, he will tell me when I need to turn, and he always remembers that we are close to home.  He also remembers where our old house is, and points out the street whenever we pass it.  He also of course knows McD's and D&D's and will yell them out.  The other day he told me where we got ice cream, and we had been there for ice cream in the summer lol. Then he told me when we passed his doctor's office the other day, which made me LOL because we had not gone passed there in month as it is clear on the other side of town.  SILLY DS!

  • YES!  She always tells me...."mom, you need to watch out for those cars or yells SLOW DOWN!"  Too cute :)
  • She'll randomly shout "Watch Out!!!" or "Oh NO!  A Rock!!"

  • Definitely!  She's constantly tell me to "slow down" or "be careful, there's cars on the road."

  • Yes!!  He's bossy.  He tries to tell me "Go this way" or "No, I'na go that way."  Which is usually steered towards the Publix (b/c he wants a cookie) or my sister's house, where my nephew (DS's BFF) resides.  Ha.

When we're stuck in traffic he says, "Come on cars." or "Mama, move those cars."  I tell him, "I wish I could!"

  • Teaching DD that red light means stop, green means go, was a TOTAL mistake. The instant the light turns green she's telling me to go, regardless of cars being in front of us. And she gets mad when  we turn right on red because "Red means stop, Mommy!"

We really do have the same kid.  Freaky.  DS does the exact same things.

  • Yes, when we have to stop quickly or we're pulling up to a red light, he'll say "don't wreck"  Sometimes, he'll say "go faster" or go slower.
