Baby acne? Prickly heat?

LO has had a rash-like thing going on the past week or so. It's on her cheeks, top of the neck, and a little on her forehead. From what I've researched, it's either baby acne or prickly heat. 

At first I thought it was a reaction to the new lotion I got for Christmas. Stopped using it and she still has the rash.  

Any other babes in this position? I feel terrible, it looks so bad...although it doesn't seem to bother her at all.  If your LO has had this, when did it go away?

    My LO had TERRIBLE baby acne--- and I mean TERRIBLE... he is still very sensitive--

    I had to get a special cream from the pedi before it went away-  And I had to use nuetragena facial cleanser on him- with A&D after bath-- every night--- and I still put the A&D on every day

    Most baby acne goes away after like 2 weeks... DS's lingered until about 5 months but was not that bad... he is just now pretty much all clear, like once a week I notice a little here and there...

    Sam's went away in like a week.  I just wiped his face down with a warm wash cloth every morning.  Someone on here said they used the regular yellow dial soap on their baby and it went away within 24 hours but I was too scared about drying out his skin.

    My LO has the same thing! I feel so bad for him!!!! i wipe his face down after he eats because he is a messy eater and put Aveeno lotion on him...some days it looks better and other days its worse...I have not found a magic lotion or solution yet...someon posted about Dial - that seems like a harsh soap for a little one....I am going to the dr. today and hopefully he will suggest something...g/l - let me know if you find something that works

    Same here! I think it will be getting better, then the next day it looks worse! :(  

    Let me know what your Dr. tells you...I'm tired of waiting it out!

    ours has it too.  i swear it comes and goes by the hour, sometimes its really red and others not.

    My DD has had what I think is acne since Saturday and one day it looks not so bad and the next bad.  Today it looked the worse but I have a dr appt so I am going to see what her pedi says.  Today it looked like it was acne and making her face look flush.  She has it on her cheeks, chin, eyelids and ears....i am not sure it bothers her but I feel horrible.

    What I thought was baby acne the pedi said was dry/sensitive skin. He rec. Eucerin or Lubriderm lotion and Dove soap. I'll give it a try!
