So, the first day with the solids was horrid as you may remember...but, I pushed through and took the advice of making sure he wasn't super hungry when we tried it. I also bought the organic Gerber sweet potatoes.
so, day 2 went great and he loved the sweet potatoes. I then did some more reading about making my own food (thanks for the links ladies), and I decided to buy some winter squash. I made some acorn squash and froze some in the ice cube trays. Today was day 2 of the acorn squash and Logan is a squash eating maniac. He is doing so well with the veggies. Next I am going to try either carrots or butternut squash.
I really like making my own food, and in the long run, it is cheaper.
Re: AW--making my own babyfood is a thumbs up
I had baby food Sundays! I'd bake up everything in the oven squish and freeze it.
I'm actually still finding fruit/veg icecubes in the back of the freezer
glad it's going better for ya
Wurd.
I'm loving making food. I'm still working on getting green beans just right, but sweet potatoes & squash have been hugely successful in our house too.
