I am fairly new to NKY- about a year- and I am looking for an OBGYN Rec in the NKY area. When I first moved to the area I went to Ob-Gyn Specialists of NKY, but did not really LOVE my doctor. Thanks!!!
I got to Tri-State women's health in Florence and I really like 3 out of the 4 doctors there. My primary is Dr. Woeste and she is so great. She has listened to my concerns from day 1 when I went to see her and always makes me feel comfortable. Dr. Beaven is my 2nd favorite. He took care of me for 8 weeks (weekly) after Carter was born due complications from my delivery and was always so nice.
Thank you for the recommendation! Can I ask you, when you first found out you were pregnant, how soon did your doctor want to see you to run the bloodwork and ultrasound? I just got my BFP today at 11dpo and I am not sure if I should call yet or wait until my period is actually late, which would be this Friday.
I have a complicated history so I don't know if I can really help you with this question. I was seeing a different GYN and miscarried, she was no help at all and I didn't find out until I was pregnant that she didn't do OB. With my 2nd pregnancy Tri State women's was already aware of my previous m/c so they had me get bloodwork done right away. With my 3rd pregnancy (Carter) I was seeing Dr. Awadalla so I already had an ultrasound at 6 and 8 weeks and then when back to Tri State women's at 8 weeks.
Maybe someone else who goes to the practice can better answer it. I know IAM4UK goes there too and I think there may be others from this board as well so hopefully one of them has had a "normal" pregnancy.
In any event I think you should go ahead and call to schedule your first appointment. Good luck and Congrats!!!
I used Select OB/GYN with my first pregnancy and liked most of the doctors pretty well. Delivered at St. E in Edgewood, which was great.
Most doctors won't see you until at least 8-10 weeks, since there's not much to do that early. I had an u/s at my first appt. but I know not every practice does that either. I'd go ahead and call, a BFP is a BFP!
I also go to OB/GYN Specialists as well. I can probably guess who your doc was that you didn't care for....was it Burchell??
I've seen Dr. Jackson as my primary and I really love him - is it bad that I also think he's hot??
Dr. Crawford (also attractive, IMO!) delivered Lily and Dr. Donnelly (only female) delivered Charlotte. I thought both of them were great, but I'm actually considering going to Dr. Donnelly now for my regular check ups. She was fantastic.
I guess that's the good thing about going to a large practice...if you don't really care for one of them there are always plenty other to see.

I go to the same practice, and my pregnancy was very typical. After I had a positive test, they scheduled my first appointment within three weeks, which I thought was pretty fast. So I was seven weeks pregnant when I first went in.
I absolutely love this practice, and like PP, my primary doctor there is Dr. Woeste. She's absolutely wonderful and really takes the time to know you. There's only one doctor I'm not a huge fan of (I think you'll hear this from others), but I have been very comfortable with all of them and am very satisfied with my choice.

Um, I could have written this myself. I also really liked seeing Dr Jacobs, Crawford and Jackson were excellent, but Donnelly was my FAVORITE. She delervied G-baby and made it such an awesome experience.
OH I forgot to mention I also previously went to The St Luke Midwives and I LOVED THEM, I mean LOVE LOVED Them. I only left b/c I was high risk and had to go to a Dr practice, and I didn't mesh with the Drs group they were associated with.
I go to TriState, Dr. Woeste, etc.. I have had nothing but great experiences there and a "normal" pregnancy so far. I called as soon as I got the BFP and they saw me at 7 weeks and then every 4 weeks since. Good Luck!

I go to Women's Healthcare of NKY, there are only two OB's and a nurse practioner. They are located in the doctor's building by St. E in Edgewood.
I like it because it is such a small practice, and you can get to know the doctors and nurses better.
